This frock coat was worn by William Rose around 1890. William Joseph Rose was born on June 4th, 1834 to Joseph Rose and Aurilla Fretz in Bath, Ontario. William remained there as a farmer settling down with his wife, Charity Maria Caton around 1884. The couple had 5 children named William, Maggie, Marshall, Harvey and Lydia. William passed away on November 27th, 1927 at the age of 93. Charity passed away 13 years later on September 12th, 1940 at the age of 88. |
