This quilt was made for Miriam Ann Allison, born 1833 in Adolphustown, after marrying David Lewis Brown, born 1835 in Fredericksburgh. The donor indicates that the quilt was made after the couple's marriage in Picton on June 18th 1864, by friends and relatives in celebration of the newlyweds. |
