Object Story |
This cape was owned by Maribeth Roblin between 1880 and 1890. Maribeth Trumpour was born on September 14th, 1835 to Lydia Dorland and Joseph Trumpour in Dorland. Maribeth then married farmer John H. Roblin on February 27th, 1866 in Adolphustown. John's daughter from a previous marriage, Elizabeth Amy (1859-?), and the couple then moved to Adolphustown. The two had four sons over the next 10 years naming them Paul Finley (1868-1924), John Franklin (1869-1871), Fredrick Brewster (1872-1947) and Edward Ernest (1875-1960). Maribeth passed away on January 22nd, 1911 at the age of 75. John H. passed away 7 years later on October 14th, 1918 at the age of 84. The two are buried alongside their son Paul in St. Albans Anglican Church Graveyard in Adolphustown. |
