Red/brown leather covered cardboard notebook holder. Holder is held together with a leather strap ending in a metal snap. Front cover is decorated with a gold logo of a maple leaf with a crown and the word "CANADA" superimposed on it and a ribbon underneath it "CANADIAN ARMY ACTIVE". Proper right interior flap has three horizontal slits in the leather creating slots as well as a shallow pocket on the bottommost pocket. Proper left interior flap has a small tube of leather to hold a writing instrument, beside a 4cm horizontal strap, and a small flap attached to the bottom edge. |

Victor Irvin MacGregor was born November 18, 1918, in Lennox and Addington County. His parents were Ross MacGregor and Bertha Edith McGregor (nee Bawn). At two years of age in June of 1921, Victor was living with his family in Camden Township, in addition to him and his parents his family now included a younger sister named Iva, born late 1920. In his 23rd year Victor enlisted with the Prince Edward Island Highlanders, April 17, 1941. He served both overseas and in Canada. He was discharged in 1945. It is possible that he also served with the Stormont Dundas & Glengarry Highlanders, during his time in the military. He married Mildred Evelyn Marlin (1922-2012). Together they had three children Marlene, Maurice, and Gary. Victor Irvine MacGregor passed away November 20, 2005. |
