Aylesworth Bowen Perry was born June 11, 1861 in Camden East. His parents were Jeremiah Perry (1823-1911) and Catherine Sarah Perry (nee Hunter) (1826-1905). The family were still living in Camden East as of 1871. Beginning in young adulthood Aylesworth took up the farming near Hay Bay. April 15, 1890 Aylesworth married a local women from North Fredericksburgh, Edith May Parks. Together they had 3 children Ray Franklin (b.1891), Rhea Bell (b.1895), and Morley Leonard (b.1897). After Aylesworth retired he moved to Napanee with his wife, and started a coal and wood business "Perry Coal Co.". He would run the business for approximately 10 years before giving it over to his youngest son Morley Leonard. Aylesworth and his wife Edith moved in with their son Ray and his wife Reta [Rita] Irene Marie Smith, in Morven. May 27, 1934 Edith May Perry (nee Parks) passed away. Shortly after Aylesworth moved back to Napanee with Morley and his wife Violet Reilly. He passed away January 13, 1938. |
