Wooden spindle from ship's wheel, turned. Square base, round ridge with cylinder above and round ridge at top, square block above with rounded top and bottom edges, long knob at top, narrows slightly in middle. All one piece of wood. Bottom edge of square base has penciled X from corners, four straight lines in cross with round hole in center, likely holding piece in place when turned / produced. Circa 1940. |
