Object Story |
This signature quilt was made by the Hay Bay Ladies Aid Society of Hay Bay, Ontario in 1933-34, and contains the names of organization volunteers and their husbands. The quilt was donated to the museum by the Estate of Mrs. Wilfred (Beatrice) McCabe, whose name appears near the centre of the quilt, followed by the title "Pres." She was presumably the president of the Ladies Aid when the quilt was made. The name of her husband, Mr. Wilfred McCabe is also inscribed on the quilt. |
