Hazel Carmaleta Reid was born August 21, 1905 in Sheffield to Stanley Marvin Reid (b.1880) and Elizabeth Maud Macfarlane (b.1878). Karl James Denyes was born June 2, 1902 in Ernestown, to Horace Gurly Denyes (b.1872) and Maria Josephine Kelly (b.1875). Hazel Reid married Denyes on August 29th, 1928 at the residence of Hazel's parents, in Odessa. The time of the marriage Hazel was working as a school teacher, meanwhile Karl worked as a farmer. Hazel and Karl celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary at a grand occasion in the fall of 1978. |
