Object Story |
This uniform was made for James Honey in 1951 by Mastercraft Uniforms in Quebec. Captain James Gregory Harrison Honey was born the 3rd child of Evelyn Jessie Greig and Clayton A. Honey in Regina, Saskatchewan in November of 1928. In 1936, the family moved to Ontario soon settling in the Kingston, Ontario area. James enlisted into the Royal Canadian Artillery with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry and served during the Korean War between 1950 and 1953. James continued to serve with the force until 1969 in England, Germany, Alberta and British Columbia. In the meantime James married Gloria Joanne Hinan in 1966 after which the two had their two children, Jacquelyn and Greg. The two lived together in the Kingston area for the remainder of their lives. Gloria passed away on December 13th, 1994 at the age of 65. James passed away 12 years later on March 1st, 2006 at the age of 78. The two are buried together in Cataraqui Cemetery in Kingston. |
