Bootees also called Booties are ankle height footwear usually in reference to ones of infant size. These bootees, along with the Mary Jane style shoes (2014.17.01.01 & 2014.17.01.02), belonged to Doris Beatrice Wells of Napanee Ontario. Doris was born in 1923 to Percy and Beatrice Wells (nee Halters). Doris had two siblings; Donald, and Dorothy. Doris later married William Vesterfelt. She passed away in 2013 at the age of 90. |
