Machine made from cotton/poly mixture. Two rows of machine-made lace decorate the hem around face, embroidered butterflies decorate the cap. Two polyester satin ribbons hang down for tying. |
Object Story |
This bonnet belonged to Margaret June Henricks. She was the daughter of C.E. Henricks and Grace Bernice Kirkpatrick (b.1903), who were married December 20, 1922. After which C.E. Henricks moved to Napanee with Bernice. They moved into 112 Thomas street. Bernice was from the area as her parents William and Margarina Kirkpatrick owned a farm on Palace road though it is no longer there. |
