Dark brown leather belt with metal buckle with embossed design of a crown, foliage beneath lettering, text: "Gott Mit Uns." Hat badges of various English regiments attached to the belt at various points, puncturing leather. There appears to have been other badges attached at one time from the holes punctured in the leather. 1) Ridged eight-pointed star with a raised circular centre piece wuth a lion encircled with the words: "MONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE." Bottom has a ribbon with letters "Firm. Worcesterhire." 2) There is a small piece of badge that appears to have been broken off, puncture holes around. Remaining piece is top-left corner, three prongs with perforated holes pattern. 3) Silver colored metal. Encircling a small coat of arms are the words "LONDON RIFLE BRIGADE - SOUTH AFRICA 1900-02", going through the circle are two swords, also foliage surrounding circle with crown on top, ribbon underneath has "PRIMUS IN URBE." 4) Brass. Circular ring of foliage with hollow backing with the letters "EGYPT. S.W.B." at bottom. Ctner has small figure of a sphinx. 5) Brass. Small figure of a castle with small lettered word "Gibralter" above it. Encircled with the letters "MONTIS INSIGNIA CALPHE", foliage design. Above circle is a crown. Below circle is a ribbon with the raised words: "THE SUFFOLK RECT" 6) Brass. An eight-pointed ridged star with a flower and foliage wreath in center. Ribbon underneath has the raised words: "EAST YORKSHIRE"; 7) Decor of crowns and foliage with the words "ICH" and "DIEN" on small ribbons contained in the design. Ribbons below design with text: "ALBUHERS" and "MIDDLE SXX REC T." |
