Description |
These 2 black and white film negatives depict Lennox and Addington County Welfare Administrator Noble "Jack" Drew seated at a desk in the Napanee resource centre. Drew was responsible for the County spending $52,392.27 under their intended budget of $415,779 in 1974, but assured reporters for the Napanee Beaver that this did not prevent any local denizens from receiving the welfare for which they qualified. Drew also worked closely with community members, including those with disabilities, to help them find accessible employment in the Napanee area. The photograph was published on page 17 of the Napanee Beaver's January 22nd 1975 issue, with the misspelled caption "Nobel 'Jack' Drew." |
