Hollow ceramic pig with a coin slot in the top, and holes for the eyes. Top half of the pig a marbled brown colour with hints of other colour such as blue and orange. The bottom half of the pig is a plain cream colour. The pig stands on four peg legs that are a cream colour. Molded into the belly of the pig is "_ AUSTRIA'. |

This piggy bank belonged to Abraham Anthony Hagerman (Jr.) (1894-1936) as a child. Abraham (Jr.) was the child of Abraham Anthony Hagerman (Sr.) (1857-1940) and Mabel Hagerman (nee Milligan) (1877-1957) all of whome lived in Bath. After the owner of the piggy bank, Abraham Anthony Hangerman (Jr.) passed away it was passed to his wife Jennie Eileen Hagerman (nee Pinney). Jennie and Abraham (Jr.) were married March 22, 1922 in Lennox and Addington County, Abraham was working as a farmer at the time. Jennie's parents were William Pinney (b.1876) and Rossetta Pinney (nee McMullen) (b.1881). |
